How to Clean a Window with Natural Products

Dust, temperature variations, humidity and condensation, all leave traces of dirt and grime on your home windows. There are many “friendly” solutions to the environment that can help you keep your windows clean.

Wash Your Windows with Vinegar and Water or Alcohol

Even if it seems an outdated solution, vinegar cleans thoroughly your window glass and gives it a special sheen. Use a solution of vinegar and water (1:4) to spray the windows, then wipe them with a clean cloth. You can replace vinegar with alcohol and you have the same results.

However, if you’re worried about the smell of vinegar or alcohol, you can add in solution two drops of orange oil. This will reduce the pungent odor.

It is advisable to use a lint-free cloth, or even a suede product for accurate and fast cleaning. Also, you can use a special cloth wiped windows can be purchased from any hardwood store. Another solution is to use paper towels. Avoid papers because, in combination with vinegar or alcohol and water, they will leave traces of paint on your windows. Wash the Window Frames
