1. First, check if your push lawn mower has sufficient fuel. To do that, you should unscrew the fuel cap and look if you have enough fuel in the tank.
Second, make sure you do not have water in fuel. To remove the water from fuel it is a good idea to pull on several times, the power cord.
Third, if your push lawn mower has not been used for a long time, and the fuel is old then you should replace the old gas with a new one. However, your push lawn mower will work much better with fresh fuel.
2. The next step is to remove the casing, covering the spark plug.
Then, use a wrench and unscrew the spark plug.
Using a wire brush, clean thoroughly the spark plug.
Check the manufacturer manual regarding the proper gap, use a gap gauge and re-gap the spark plug.
3. Now, you should put back this casing, which cover the plug. Meanwhile, you should check if the spark plug is not too close to the gasoline tank.
Start the push lawn mower and see if your spark plug makes a blue spark. It means the spark plug is working properly.
4. Finally, it is necessary to check if your plug is soot dirty or oil clogged.
In this case, you should replace it with a new one. It is critical to adjust the plug gap with a gap gauge.
