Natural Ants Control
1 – Cayenne pepper: Sprinkle cayenne pepper in the areas in which you’ve seen the ants. The strong odor of the seasoning often keeps ants away.
2 – Garlic cloves: Garlic cloves are also effective in getting rid of ants as well.
3 – Coffee grounds: Ants hate coffee, so they won’t cross a line of it.
4 – Lemon juice, cucumber peels or slices and cinnamon placed at the ants’ points of entry often works to keep the insects away.
5 – Baby powder: Ants are killed by baby powder. Baby powder is really just Diatomaceous earth, a safe and natural substance. Pets will ignore baby powder and children aren’t affected by it at all. Place a line of baby powder around windows, doors, and cracks and you’ll virtually eliminate your ant problem overnight.
6 – Set a trap: Create your own natural trap by mixing a ½ tsp. each of borax, honey and aspartame together and placing the amount in two or three small plastic bottles. Place the bottles on their sides in popular ant areas. The ants will enter the traps and collect the sweet bait. They will take it back to their nests, where the other ants will eat the bait as well.
7 – Cream of wheat: Cream of wheat is natural bait for ants. The workers take the cereal back to the nest where they share the food with all of the ants. When Cream of wheat comes into contact with the internal fluids of the ant, it explodes.
8 – Boiling water: You can use only boiling water. Pour the boiling water in the middle of the ant hill without disturbing the mound before pouring in the water so the queen couldn’t be moved to safety.
9 – Cinnamon: Sprinkle cinnamon in the areas in which you’ve seen the ants. It will gets rid of ants in a hurry.
10 – Chalk: One very simple and quick solution to ant’ infestation is to take a piece of regular white chalk and draw a line across where they are coming in. Observations are they won’t cross the line once it’s up.
11 – Peppermint spray: Just take some peppermint essential oil and put a dozen or so drops in a spray bottle filled with water, and the ants will also refuse to cross this area as well.
12 – Bay leaves: Ants hate the scent of these, and will avoid them.
