Nordic design – the recipe for happiness

Scandinavian style inspiration, lots of light and bright spaces are the main ingredients of the apartments presented in our videos. The soft chromatic range helps to create a peaceful and serene atmosphere, a charming oasis.

The Scandinavian design is still the most popular decorating trend that many of us are drawn to. This is understandable given that this style is always connected with bright, clean, and modern interiors furnished with eco-friendly and natural materials. Those who like clean lines, uncomplicated shapes, and an abundance of natural light admire the Nordic aesthetic. Northern Europe is severely lacking in the latter, which is why designers there try every trick in the book to bring it into the home. This is not to say that this style is exclusively appropriate in areas with limited natural light. It is also important to consider in our homes, because where there is light, there is joy.

Walls, ceilings, and sometimes even the floor are typically painted in white or very light pastels. This is done to visually enlarge the room and make it appear more open and breezier. Paint, not wallpaper, is commonly utilized for wall treatments. Neutral hues will also be used on furniture and textiles, such as brown, grey, black, and beige. Bright elements only appear in accessories or art that liven up the environment.

Scandinavians enjoy wood, so it’s difficult to picture their homes without it. Wood is used to finish walls, flooring, furniture, and other items. Leather, metal, plastic, and natural textiles such as linen and cotton are all popular textures.

Lighting is a distinct topic in Scandinavian design. The designers’ major goal is to bring and stop as much natural light as possible into the space. Obviously, the weather in areas is different. Excess sunshine in hot, sunny climates might result in high electricity consumption. As a result, there is a sizable market for rollers and curtains in South of the USA. What can we learn from the Scandinavians? Lamps that are simple, modern, and minimalist.

The balance of form and function is critical to Scandinavian aesthetics. This design movement emphasizes beautiful things that are affordable to everyone. IKEA is a Swedish retailer that is well-known throughout the world. It is committed to the production and selling of contemporary design furniture, household goods, and other decorative objects at extremely reasonable costs.

Beauty, practicality, and simplicity. Scandinavian homes have a distinct design aesthetic that emphasizes warm utility, clean lines, exquisite craftsmanship, and subtle elegance.

Living in a warm and welcoming environment has an impact on our lives, our well-being, and our happiness. As a result, Nordic design is recognized globally and used outside of Northern Europe.
